Fanestil Meats is smokin’.
Since the year began, the Emporia meat processing company has added 20 full-time workers. Over the last 18 months, it’s added five new out-of-state customers and will begin shipping to a sixth, the Minyard grocery chain in Texas, on Tuesday. And a new $225,000 smokehouse was put into the plant this morning.
In fact, there’s been so much success at Fanestil’s, the company is running out of places to put it.
