Light as a feather....Corrugated offers a lightweight solution. Bearing in mind that the European recommendation for the weight of one unit load is 15 kg, the less your transport packaging weighs, the more product it can contain.The Swedish Corrugated Industry Association (SWIF) recently commissioned a study to compare ergonomics in the manual handling of corrugated trays versus returnable plastic crates in retail outlets. Completed by Kunskapspartner AB consultants, this study has produced an interactive tool that enables the analysis of loads in a typical process of manual goods handling, from backroom storage to shelf replenishment. It directs the way in choosing the right lightweight corrugated packaging to reduce the strain on staff in outlets and improve their health and productivity."
